Description

Winter's chill is already beginning to boast. The sun has retreated behind a veil of clouds. The world is not as it was, though it persists, and this is enough. The dragons have moved on. Though more truly, they have been moved Their basking place is cleansed and carpeted. Business has taken hold where—once—there was enclosed wilderness, a preserve for diminutive reptiles who warm their bellies to aid in digestion. Though not endangered, their numbers were few: at least in Prague, and now four of them live elsewhere. They live outside of the city now. As do I. Where a time-capsule town is the last residence I'll see in the Czech Republic before my business-riddled return Stateside, the dragons must make due with a less picturesque city. It does not matter. They have food, and warmth for their bellies. And I have my memories of them—though now, I wonder. . .to whom do they bob their heads? *** I know I'm supposed to provide the too-long-awaited ending to the story "The Silent," but as my long absence probably implies...LOTS of bizarre things have come up. I couldn't resist peeking in here, and making a contribution...an homage to two of the lovely, though nameless ladies I met in Prague. I'll be catching up on viewing and commenting as time permits, and well...It's GOOD to be back. As always, thank you for viewing, reading, and commenting...and hopefully things are warmer where you are than they are in Cesky Krumlov. It's gorgeous here but it's COLD!
