This is the beach
I wanted us to walk on
This is the breeze
I wanted to touch our face
These are the birds
I wanted to sing to us
These are the shells
I wanted to make you a necklace with
This is the sunset
I wanted us to play under
These is the moon
I wanted us to make love under
These are the stars
I wanted us to dream about
These are the tears
I have without you
Sometimes things just don’t work out
The way we want
But I guess if everything worked out
Then there would be no such thing
As dreams
