Hello!! from Jean. I live in UK north of Manchester and close to the Ribble Valley. I have two sons who live in the south of England , and Geneva. I have been interested in photography for years..in the sense of capturing people and scenes, but with a digital camera have become an addict. Photography enables unique moments to be captured and one learns to use one's eyes more searchingly. As I have absolutely no talent in conventional art it is a challenge to try to produce results with all the help available with software. As a overview of my gallery will show, I am a novice! I do like to experiment..usually with no fixed idea of where i'm going1 Just persist until the image pleases me. and the creative process is fun. Members of RR have been very generous with their comments and help, which is very much appreciated. I have learned so much of seeing other artists' work apart from the real enjoyment of viewing and having contact with other members.  I like to travel which gives added inspiration.... Many many thanks to you all. JeanÂ

Ah the sacred rituals of the Scotland. I have never seen a haggis up close, perhaps thankfully. Great introduction to the capture!

O, kilts... ::: sigh :::: I do love all things Scottish, but while I've survived trying blood sausage I don't think I'll go as far as haggis. Nice peek into the highland secrets!

Excellent capture Jean, Scotland, a beautiful place steeped in tradition, I used to travel to Scotland every week as part of my job driving wagons, I used to have to talk with men and women there but it was very hard for me to understand them, so you are not alone. I used to leave Sheffield on Monday morning at 04:00hrs and not get home til the Friday at 15:00hrs. I love the sound of the pipes, and the highlands where the people are so friendly, I used to spend a whole day in Glasgow visiting the ship yards and steel works. The people of Glasgow are the hardest to understand. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
