Description

I thought this would make a nice throw (blanket) to curl up in while watching television or reading a book. Especially with winter coming on.... ;) Created with UF5. This image began as a response to Challenge 3 on the Ultra Fractal list... but I strayed a little too far (changed the Julia seed, the bailout, and added a few more layers than the two allowed) to submit it as a Challenge image. The most challenging bit was finding a texture that would work in the same layer as the shapes... ie: using Trap Block Shape with Trap Position under the Trap Texture option within the same layer as the base fractal. Wheww... it was a fight to the finish! lol! But I'm really warming up to this UF5 program. It's not so much that I'm afraid of working with a kazillion layers in UF4... I'm okay with that... but it's one of those "you can't there from here" if one chooses to stick with UF4. Not that I'll be putting my UF4 up for sale on eBay anytime soon... I'll just put it on top of the stereo with my Murano glass bird collection ... for now... ;) Thanks so much for all your encouraging words and thoughts on some of my previous stuff... and thank you a whole bunch for peeking in at this! Hugs! Helen :)

This has a warmth that leads me to comment-beauty of choice colour and drifting waves of softness;delicate work of the theme. One request: please send one of these for 'sweet Vivian' and the price. We shall stay warm and cosy while we enjoy the long winter evenings by the "fire".

Helen, you don't get to be THE fractal goddess by NOT pushing your art to "just one more layer", until your computer is begging for mercy! Your choices of colors and textures couldn't resemble fine fabric any better. If you stare at it for a few moments, I swear that the breeze will cause it to move ;-)

Beautiful and fiery looking colors and spiral! Tis true you do not get to become an expert or knowledgeable if you do not push the envelope sometimes. I wish I had the gumption to do so. Beautiful work!
