BIO
For around 20 years I was a professional wedding and portrait photographer winning a couple of Kodak awards but turned to landscapes about a year ago in 2005.In my wedding days I shot on a Bronica 6 x 6 format but my camera now is a Nikon D100 and I feel that digital and Photoshop opened a whole mew world to us guy's and gals. I am based in the UK moving from the south to lancashire at the end of 2005.
So its now 2009..long time since I updated my bio.
Now shoot on a Nikon D200 and process my work through Photoshop CS3.
Been to a lot of places since moving north.Three times to Scotland..going again in September 2009.
Had a week in Snowdonia..brilliant place....cant say the same for the weather we had.Ventured down to Devon...been for a week in Northumbria..had a glorious week on the North Yorkshire coast.Walked miles around the lake district in Cumbria.
Been to west Yorkshire no end of times and that's just the places I can recall.
Tried and tried to improve my photography which if any one looks thru my gallery back to the early days may agree that it has come a long way.
So many places still to see in the UK.We must have some of the loveliest places on earth to photograph here..there will never be enough time.Â

Very nice, but what is the purpose of the overwhelming amber tint? It makes the rocks look a bit fake. Just curious about the directions you are exploring.

fantastic shot.

Like the lines down to the lighthouse and i like the tint you have on the shot - gives it something more than it would have on what was obviously a fairly colourless day. The shot might have benefitted from a wider angle / more included on the left for compositional purposes. Also you seem to have gone a bit heavy handed on the dodge and burn here (or is it the tonemap algorithm?) - the grass seems sectioned off into light and dark parts where it really shouldnt be on first impression.

the light meanders on the surface of the water in a most magical way and the same can be said for the light traveling across the cliff. All bring the eye to the lighthouse in the distance. A very incredible shot.
