Description

This is the back fence of my garden..The sun sets right in the sky hole behind the redwoods and furs..This gives the garden the perfect southern exposure, and gives it the low arching sun all winter long..The veggies are in the lower half and the whole garden is surrounded by Blackberries and thimbleberries..also outside the garden are apple, cherrie, avacado, pear.apricot, necterine and plum trees..and over 700 redwoods, countless fur trees,Madrone, laurel, manzanita, tan oak, valley oak, maple,Tons of ferns and poison oak.. We can pick blackberries from june till october and practically live off the land most of the summer..Its Heaven..and we try to make it better all the time..... We also have some of the finest manure creators in the land....Our 5 LLammas Just thought i would share this cuz its my passion...and my life.. Someday we would like to be on solar and hydro power...and sell power back to the power company....

It's a marvelous garden and I'm sure it gives you lots of joy and lots of good eats. The only way I could have a garden like that up here in the mountains is in a greenhouse. Probably won't be doing that so I have organic veggies and fruits from local farms delivered right to my door. Thanks for sharing this. I'm a total nut over those giant sunflowers.:o) CC

Beautiful! You are so fortunate to have all of this and share with nature. Gorgeous flowers and fruits and veggies sound so luscious. Do you use the Llama wool for clothing or blankets? You have created a paradise. :o)

Maybe you should check on one of those windmills also. I think that they look pretty cool and can produce a lot of power. But solar and water works great to.Beautiful garden Bill

Oh wow I love this garden.. I hope it looks like this where my sister lives. She has a room for me when I can get there. Maybe I would go..not sure yet..so much to think about. She lives in Bakersfield? Don't know what it's like there.
