Really very rich, Mandi. I had to take some time on this one, but it was worth it. You almost have to look out of the corner of your eye, unfocused, for it to come to life. I'm pretty wowed. Good work!!!

boy would I love to see some of your images wall-size...your facial images are fascinating, not only because they pull us, but because they morph into your other forms & patterns (they become them, in fact). You have some full-figures too, including a woman in a dress and a guy who looks like he stepped out of the Continental Congress. There even seems to be some kind of Egyptian bust in there...But what's always compelling about your work is the way everything melds into your highly complex & organic forms: this one with a gold-ish reddish palette with subtle rivulets throughout, and that bold center that looks like a storehouse not only of heat—your theme—but real light. You even have a kind of triptych here (separations by panel). Your art is like snapshots of the inner mind & soul, and we look at them because we recognize the fabric of ourselves. A very rich piece.
