Believe it or not, I have a direct decendant of Helen Keller's mamosa tree from her yard, growing in my front yard. I bought it from a foundation that sells trees created from those in famous people's yard. They have all the historic characters' trees listed. I love this sort of tree and had one in Texas that I adored. It's small now, but I can hardly wait for it to grow big and drip with blooms like this. Stellar shot.
