Description
I am working on a image for my friend Lars and this is part of the reason I am so far behind. This is little Penny and she is a miracle dog. Sunday when I was taking Veronica and the girls shopping we found her in a ditch. Someone had dumped her on a back road and by some miracle I happened to see something move in the ditch as we passed by. I stopped the car and my niece Jade and I went back to look. There we found a small puppy so helpless and crying. Her tail has been hurt and one of her paws is cut. We looked for her Momma and other puppies but couldn't find any. We took her home and put medicine on her wounds, gave her a bath, and named her Penny. She is a loving little dog and it breaks my heart to think someone could dump her. I told a few people about her and they all asked to see a photo so here you go.
Please don't worry about rating or faving this, I just wanted to show you what she looks like :)

Wonderful story and picture, Dave. Now that Penny is a cutie, with that pink/black nose. The description is even better. It reminds me how big your heart really is. But it makes me sad inside, to experience people treat animals like they were a THING.. instead of a living being. Thank God there are people like you, who find mercy. OH MY! She sure is sweet! It's sad that people do these things. If you have ever watched Animal cops on Animal Planet, it would break your heart to see these poor little guys. NO matter the animal, People have a reposiblity to care about these creatures. It's nice to know someone was looking out for Penny, cause He/She showed you where this little pup was. Thank you for showing her to us, Dave.

Congrats on the successful rescue ... this is such a beautiful puppy. I remember rescuing a starving chow several years ago ... Bearaboo (that's what I named him) was only fur and bones at the time. He was one of the best dogs I've ever had. He's dead now having lived to at least the age of 15 according to the vet. And I still think of him almost every day. I hope that you and Penny have many happy years together. Best wishes Dave. :-)

Aaaaaawww Dave. What a sweet thing to do. And she's a doll!!! How could anyone leave a pup that cute in a ditch??? My advice would be nurse her and keep her. You realise if anyone DOES come by claiming her, they're probably the same ones that left her there. Just a thought. - Matt
