I agree with Ralph about the smile, but I suppose you could end up with the 'Laughing Cavalier syndrome'!

It looks like you're contemplating the wood stove and how you plan to stack kindling.

Wonderful job by both you and Tara. The lack of a smile is most unexpected, it can be heard in you words.

I like the far away gaze... gives you an inner strength in the set of your mouth. Good one!

I agree with mamabobbijo about the smile. It is also a great portrait, it has soul, I think your thoughts must have been elswhere when you took this, you seem to be thinking of something other than the shot. An excellent joint effort. Bravo!!!!!

So you are a blond! Excellent soft lighting effects in this self portrait, M! No doubt contemplating the upcoming presidential election. I wouldn't smile either. Actually, when you think of it, virtually all portrait or full body paintings of the famous in history shows the subject not smiling.

WOW! This is good! I love the lighting and shadow, the whole mood of the piece, and the contemplative look on your face! It's a fantastic mood piece on the whole. The post work is fantastic as well...a great collaborative effort!

Good to see you! The lighting works well here. You seem to be so introspective and lost in thought. Would love to see your winning smile sometime too!
