Description

I am not sure when I took this image, but this image was taken way before this cat passed away. She was a kitten when I took this image , and she lived outdoors. She would not let anyone get close to her. Well the other night, some idiot's pit bull attacked her and killed her. Before she died, she was raising her kitten. My mom found the Calico's kitten in the front yard. We cleaned up the kitten, bottle fed it, and now the kitten is very healthy! We named him after a hurricane (Gustav). We named him during that time when the hurricane hit the US. With this image, I found it in one of my disks and updated it.

She is beautiful and I am sorry for her loss. I had a Calico cat until about three years ago. She had a mass in her abdomen and had to be put down. She had been pretty miserable the last six months of her life. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. I have some pictures of her that I had on my cell phone. I have not posted them. Whenever I think about doing it part of me says NO so I don't.

Calico cats are my true weakness in cats. This story charmed me and broke my heart all in one breath but I feel so good that the kitten is ok. That is something anyway. I love this shot for the depth of soul in the eyes. Calicos seem to have that special quality for me.
