Well, time to fill in this page a bit.
I alway's find it hard to talk about myself.
As a kid I alway's was making pensil drawings untill I got a neighbour who did airbrush. So I did a crashcourse airbrush (10 lessons) and learned the basics. Over the years I did some various airbrush work, mostly t-shirts but also bikes and one time even a pin up on the wall in a pub.
The problem I alway's ran into was space. For such paintjob's you need a lot of room, warm and dust free. That combined with my need for new things brought me to 3D art. I already was using PhotoShop for litle work and touch up of pictures for my airbrush. Than I discovered Poser, and man, what a discovery it was =) For some of my idea's I need nude models, Trust me...asking a girl in a bar to pose nude for you is generaly not resulting in a happy face and a heartfull "yes, I pose nekid for you" but usualy ends up with a slap over your head and a glass of beer in your lap and the well ment "@#$##@% PERVERT"Â ;-)
So in short, 3D art is a new adventure for me to discover. From modeling to the end painting.
Further more I am a huge fan of sci fi, I love Star Wars but most of all is cyber punk. This is also the direction I want to take for my art. I love the combination of a dark apocaliptic future with touches of the present or the past. To give a idea I want to name Dark Angel and Blade Runner.
I also have a very weak spot for the Japanese culture, and hope to go there one day.
My favourit artist is Luis Royo, I realy love that man's art.
On a more personal note, I like to do things the hard way. I learned in the army "why do it the easy way when you can do it the hard way" and I still stick to that. Like learning to work with a new program like Blender, I skipp the beginer tutorials and start with some complex idea I have myself and learn while I get there. I have the feeling I learn more and faster that way, and if I succeed I end up with something I can use =) (like the pistols in my Yakuza Girl painting) The next thing I made after the pistols is the Dragunov SVD which you can see above, made with the lessons I learned from the pistols...now try that with some beginner tutorials ;-)
And as last, acording to my friends I am a pleasant idiot which I dont agree with. I am very normal, only the world around me is idiotic ;-)
( It is very possible that this page changes over time, its in my nature to change things ;-) )
