What I like the most about this is the somewhat desaturated sense of color. There is a muted, understated quality to things here, which works perfectly in conjunction with the theme of this image...that and there is an honest Zen sort of willingness to embrace imperfection. The fact that the petals of the flowers are not all uniformly perfect says more about the quality of this image and its inherent meaning than the sort of perfection that photoshop delivers in just two clicks of a mouse.
