Description

Morning all :o) Well here we are 2nd October and we still have`nt moved .There are still 7 families left dotted between 30 houses still standing and boarded up .The building work of the new houses has stopped and I got to know yesterday that those waiting in transit houses that were supposed to move this month have been told they are staying where they are until at least March next year .So it looks as though we`ll be here for xmas :o(..I`ve had a run in with the women in charge of liason everyday last week to try and get some straight answers ,but it would seem she either does`nt know or she could`nt lie straight in bed and is fobbing me off to peacify me .Either way its not working .To safeguard my house and the little ones that are left ,I`m having to spend most of my time chasing kids i`ve never seen before from destroying everything and more importantly prevent them from setting fires to the rubbish that appears overnight .To say i`m at the end of my rope is an understatement . Anyway ,now that i`ve vented and got that off my chest :o)..this shot is from the so called summer we`ve had .I dont know what it is (maybe Andrea knows) it just caught my eye as things do . Thanks for looking and take care Mick

I was going to mail you and ask about the housing today. It's outrageous that you should be stressed even further by vandals, and get nowhere with the council. They should really employ security full time if they are leaving you there. Local TV might be interested in the story. This super pic looks like one of the cow parsley type plants.

It puts my worries and anxieties into "insignificance"! feel for you mate. Don't know what to say that would help! wish there was something. Anyway, nice detail to your shot with those tiny hairs on the plant in clear focus, and like many plants I've certainly seen this one before but haven't a clue what it is! If the weather permits just get out with the camera as much as you can Mick, might just take your mind off things!

Then I have to say that I would refuse to pay any rent until they get their finger out, (you don't pay them but bank it, to be given in full when their end of the rent agreement is met) I see so much of this sort of thing from the London councils, depriving peter to benefit paul, A little of "Your not getting any rent until something is done" would be my next move, and of course our delightful fleet street mafia would love this situation, my best wishes to you and your family in this matter mate, on to the pic, this is stunning Mick, the focaus and DOF are spot on, good job!

This is a superb image Mick and represents how you feel I am certain. I'm so sorry you are getting as we say (The Run Around) from those in charge. And it's too bad your forced to protect your area from the kids who obviously need better parents in charge of them.

Sorry to hear nothing sorted with the house Mick, Ronnie's idea seems to be a good one, I would be tempted to try it myself, but then it could jepordise the re housing so probably not. Excellent capture here mate, haven't a clue to what it is though. Looks like you got a bonus with a couple of tiny flies as well. Fantastic detail. Bravo!!!!!

Excellent capture, Mick, and a plant I've never seen before! Sorry to hear that your problems have not been resolved. Perhaps some loud and persistent complaining to authorities as in the squeaky wheel get the grease would work? Hope this gets resolved soon. People shouldn't have to put up with such conditions...good luck!

It's a wonderful shot and very interesting to me. New as well I believe. As to your troubles, There may be an underlying reasons for this lack of assistance and interest in you...namely to make you disgusted and upset enough to make you get up and get on with it yourself - at little or no charge to them...sort of a way to get off the hook for any more services or cost for them. Good luck and hang in there!

Gosh Mick, what a bunch of c**p that is that they are doing to you...I am so sorry to hear this. I don't know how it works where you are but here I would consult an attorney and at least have a letter written to those people that clearly states if any of you are injured or property is lost you will sue. Its sure not a healthy situation! Great shot of this unusual blossom(?)! I'll be thinking of you!

I looked at the pic and thought, "what the heck IS that?" so I'm no help. It's quite attractive, with the red/burgandy colors, it's just unfamiliar.
