Regardless of the time of day, the lighting is pretty dull - sorry. An old Slav/rbutt trick is to boost Sunlight Intensity and make material diffuse colors more highly saturated. According to a casual remark by Doc Mojo, sunlight color and ambient color should add-up to '1'. Experiment with the Volumetrics Ambient and Exposure/Gamma settings.
