I'm fortunate to be back on line this soon, because on the evening of October 1, my 8-year old 17" CRT monitor decided to call it instant quits, and went out with a literally loud bang, or let's say several loud bangs, along with a terrible pungent and smokey odor, which, incidentally, took a few days to dissipate from my surroundings. I was away from the computer when it happened, so the first thing I experienced was the smell, which I initially contributed to the neighbors lighting up the barbeque in their patio. Then I thought it was my whirling ceiling fan, but when I saw the blacked out monitor screen, I knew then that I was in deep doo-doo. At my age, I can easily do without these kind of surprises.
Anyway, after a quick bit of research into the genre, followed by a stint of determined and focused shopping, I now have a new 22" LCD monitor to acclimate and familiarize myself with.
Thankx much for coming by on this fun-filled Friday.

In 1968 I purchased my first car and it was a 1959 Austin Healey, in terrible condition, for the same reason it's a classic today those beautiful body lines, long hood, short trunk, etc. reeking of fun. I had a hard rubber hammer in the trunk and didn't know what it was for until I had a flat on highway 45 in Houston, TX, USA and stood there perplexed about how to get the wheel off. A kindly gentleman pulled over and asked if I had a mallet and I quickly became informed about knockoff hubs. After struggling with it for a year in a love/hate relationship I sold it to a older neighbor who was a machinist. He fixed it up and sold it for 3 times what he paid me which for me amounted to a happy ending. Thanks for the memory and the Great Picture.

Top capture is a good thigt crop, just fit in a frame. Looks so small almost a kid car. Have a fun with your 22' screen.

When I think of sports cars this is what my mind shows me. Definitely a for-fun vehicle, I think! Wonderful shots! Sorry about your old monitor, but welcome to the LCD world! Do things look different to you now?

Excellent and very detailled shots of this fantastic car. Superb!!

These are two different cars. I recognize the second one as a 100-4 with it's vertical grille. The louvers on the open hood are add ons I think. The top one looks to me like a 3000 which was a six. There may have been a later model 4 to fit your description.

Great captures. One of my alltime favorites. Always wanted one but couldn't afford it, so I bought an Austin Healey Sprite. I know, it isn't the same!
