Description

CGTalk has an awesome section of their forum called Lighting Challenges, which are basically just scenes that you can download which you must then texture and light. This is my first attempt at one of the many scenes available. It's great practice and I highly recommend it to anyone trying to improve their 3d skills. Suggestions on improvement are welcome! Rendered in Maya with minor Photoshop postwork.

I must say it's A fantastic first attempt! The only thing I would change would be the amber burning at the tip of the incence in the dish, it's a little to bright other than that it's perfect. A+

Now that you mention it you're quite right, the ember is too bright. It's hard to notice details like that after you've been looking at the picture so long, it's great to get more opinions and suggestions :)
