Description

I went to a custom car show yesterday at the Texas World Speeedway near Fort Worth.there were so many creme of the crop custom cars and I walked for 3 hours with 2 cameras the truck has a six cylinder Cummins diesel The REO Motor Car Company was a Lansing, Michigan-based company that produced automobiles and trucks from 1905 to 1975. At one point the company also manufactured buses on its truck platforms. Although World War II truck orders enabled it to make something of a comeback, the company remained unstable in the postwar era. In 1954 it was sold to the Bohn Aluminum and Brass Company of Detroit, and in 1957 became a subsidiary of the White Motor Company. White then merged REO with Diamond T Trucks in 1967 to form Diamond-Reo Trucks, Inc. In 1975, this firm filed for bankruptcy in the Western District of Michigan and most of its assets were liquidated. Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I dedicate this to Dale(Tallpindo) http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?user_id=50029 for his love of modeling and desire to share the same Thanks for looking and and comments

I really appreciate this. The bellow of a big Reo six is something notable in the small town I grew up in. I would have ditched the chintzey headlight shades and put towing hooks on a heavy gravel shield over the bumper brackets for a true Reo look. This though probably is more familiar to those who love the Reo Speed Wagon with a lighter greyhound look. Diamond T's came in two sizes like International, and GMC. This is the lighter of those in look and harks back to the 20's. Some of this look is in the towed county grader that horses or bulldozers pulled. It has that low down look of stability on gravel that is in the construction and pioneering or a trail.

:0 See that face Richard ? That's me super jealous and wishing I could've been there to see this Custom Car Show too. I have a feeling the one you went to would dwarf the little one's we have around here. Great pics

When I was a young boy we had Reo's as a left over from WWII. I never saw that brand again, this is a beautiful car. It was some kind of a giant jeep as far as can I remember. Beautiful captures Richard!
