Description

The Quiraing 2 Another view from this mystical area.I walked out toward the area known as the needle for this shot. it reminds me of a Terragen landscape. As you look at the image to the left would be looking towards the coast and Staffin harbour and to the right would be the coastal town of Uig. If you look to the middle right of the image you can see the road as it disappears into the hills.This is where my walk started. I also saw a number of Golden Eagles but although some of them settled on the mountain sides now stayed long enough to get a shot....mores the pity. For those who have been viewing this series from Skye, in the centre distance of the image,about 20 miles away would be The Old man Of Storr

We live on this quite small set of islands that is the UK and yet this landscape is so very different from anything further South. Truly splendid pic.
