this has to be seen full-view, because full-view is always higher resolution, and this image shines and has greater depth at higher resolution...There's much music & rhythm here, very evocative of jazz improvisation (I was a classical & jazz musician for many years), filled with fire & motion, and lots of organic forms that also seem to melt into flame. Your right-most panel has a dark-crimson tone to it which I really like; and I can see the butterfly, whose luminous greens stand out against the reds, browns, etc. And in parts this seems almost made of panes-of-glass. There's abstract expressionism in it, but it has an inwardness not always found in a.exp; and there's a touch of Chagall too. And your verticals, jutting through the mix, are highlighted by streaks that make them feel like light...Evocative of the music (calypso) and a very vital piece. If it's large, it would be great to see it full size! A fav.

show my work at various art festivals and the gallery. This piece was on clay board from acrylic inks to watercolor. What gives it the glass like appearance are the several layers of acrylic liquid poured and then believe the term is burnished (blow torch lightly fanned across to bring all the air pocks up to surface). its's a 22x30x2 inch already sold. Had original wanted to do it on 3 canvases instead was running out of materials and wanted to see if could put it on one. With the acrylic inks and watercolor technique use allow the paints to dry after using several techniques within the painting. (flower imprints, leaf and or wax paper/plastic wrap applied). Once it has dried you start working with the piece and pull from it what you feel you see. Work can be seen at www.marysonyaconti.com. or if your in the area various festivals. have a new camera (DSL sony) so am hopefully going to get better images of my work in future. Once put the acrylic finish on a piece the glare becomes extremely hard to photograph; hence if don't get the image in print before the finish its next to impossible from then on.
