Description

Here's a render of my most recent character. Satomi took a loooooong time to produce thanks to having to learn some new things as I went, like JCM morphs and custom figure creation. Her fans are conforming and functional (you can close them), and I'm rather proud of how the hair turned out. I used a bunch of really skinny poly planes to give the effect of individual strands while also keeping the poly-count rather low. I managed to make a 2-sided texture for her shall and skirt, which poser normally doesn't recognize. If you look at the textures in the material room, you'll see A LOT of nodes that produce the effect. Incase anyone was wondering, the kanji on her shall is a Buddhist expression that means "all things seen are empty"... it just seemed to suit her somehow. Special thanks to Deskar. I used his loops package for the design on the fans and the back of the skirt.

thanx everyone! It was really difficult to make her functional enough to put her up for sale, which I'm sure you're all fimilar with on some level. She's been in the market place for a couple weeks now, and I haven't heard back from any of my customers on how they found her to work with, but no complaints so far.. fingers crossed. I'm working on a new girl now, and I'm building her from the ground up with a new body morph and all that. She's gonna be more post-modern in appearance, not as old-asian as my last two. Hopefully she'll go alot smoother than Satomi.
