Description

I wish I could upload the whole series of these photos. This is just a sample of some 70 pictures I took today. We were out looking for birds to photograph and really hit the jackpot. When we arrived there were about 6-7 osprey on this group of trees and as we waited they increased to 10. I could not get them all in one picture. Hope you enjoy looking as much as I did in taking the pictures of these beautiful birds. Many people mistake these for eagles but they are actually "Sea Hawks"; they dive for fish which is their main diet. Hope to post some better pictures soon, maybe I will even get some of them diving for dinner.

I am looking forward to seeing those pictures! I've only seen them from a distance, too far for my camera to capture the regal beauty that is them in flight. Very well done and too cool!

Did you get a chance to hear their cry? There is a lake we used to camp at a few years back and in the early morning you could hear their cries as they hunted. Wonderful sounds as it echoes across the water! These are awesome shots and a great collage.
