Description
It's 12:48AM April 30, 1900 a foggy morning in Memphis Tn. Engineer John Luther Jones leans out of the cab of engine 382, looking back to the end of the train where the conductor will give him the "Highball" signal. In two minutes John Luther (Casey) will pull the throttle out and the Cannon ball Express will leave the station 90 minutes late. At 3:52 AM Casey Jones will become a legend when he runs into the last three cars of a freight train that hasn't cleared the mainline. At the time of the crash the Cannon ball Express is only 5 minutes behind schedule.
Note this picture is a little dark (it's night, what can I say?) Check it out full sized.
Credits: The large buildings were modified from Dark Streets by DC (?)
The rest of the buildings, carts and engine and cars are by me in Wings 3D

Headway sometimes cannot avoid the spinal tap. There is no inorganic nature to manufacture.

Excellent modeling work and scene and a great intro to go with it. I quite like the moody light actually - it gives the a good sombre feel to this momentous occasion. A sense of foreboding. Well done!

outstanding modeling and lighting.I dread the day if trains collides near my house.I am about 3 blocks away but explosions can be really bad

Excellent image, I seem to recall a TV show about Casey Jones?.This seems a far more interesting, if fatal, tale.

Oh, this is great. I was just wondering today why no one was doing anything with trains and here is old Casey Jones and 382. You've handled the low light very well. Great modeling. Bill
