Description

Here we have part of a small fleet of commercial fishing boats that use Montauk Harbor as their home port. My observation is that they head out daily before sun-up and are back by noon. Montauk is at the eastern most tip of the south fork of Long Island, New York. This is about 110 miles east of New York City. Plenty of sea food in the local restaurants. I would love to know what it is like on a boat, even a ship...but knowing me, I'd get sick...LOL.....but they are such beautiful vessels.

My sole experience at sea was spending two weeks on a narrowboat on the Norfolk Broads. One of the most relaxing holidays i've ever had. Googled Montauk and found a lovely picture of the lighthouse, looks a great place to relax. Thanks Bill.
