Description
Hi guys,
Thank you very much for your comments on my previous work.
Here's my recent one. The sketch was done directly in Photoshop a while ago as a figure drawing practice and I like it enough to develop it further to a finished stage.
While I learned a lot about textures, I srtuggled with color choice and lighting. Still have to learn and practise more.
Take a look at the major steps here. As you can see the concept evaluted quite a bit. A reference was used for intial stage for the arm and the hand placement and also for the head turn. The face is from my imagination as well as her dress, embroidery, and hair style. She wears one glove - it was done on purpose just for the sake of composition.
Reference was used for the lace although the idea of the collar is mine.
Wall decor referenced from a 19th century book.
The style does not represent any particular period, I tried to capture a general feeling of an old epoque.
Done mostly in Photoshop, with clothwork made in Painter.
I used a basic hard round brush and textured version of it for the cloth, embroidery, and wall.

Thanks much for taking a look. Comments and crits are welcome.
Have a wonderful day!
