Description

Trying to give it a spooky look. The Columbarium is the largest mausoleum in the cemetery. it was commissioned by the 5th Earl Cadogan (1840-1915) in the early 1880s. Unused, he decided to sell it back to the London Necropolis Company in 1910. Shortly afterwards the company converted into a "columbarium" - a building for the reception of funerary urns. Thank you for looking, as always any comments or suggestions welcome 8~) **Best Viewed Full Size**

Has that spooky look you were aiming for. And now I know what a Columbarium is...have heard the term...but didn't know what the purpose was. Another good one. Bill

Well, that's just spooky. I expect a mummy or some "lost soul" to come staggering out to the tune of pipe organ music.

The living assure us the dead do care. Yet, keeping the living interested in what only the dead experience is difficult.
