Description

I went to the Pilansberg Game Reserve (about 2.5 hrs drive from home) the past weekend with my brother and sister-in-law. We had a wonderful day in the park. We stopped at this picnic spot next to the dam and I managed to shoot this image. The park is very, very dry at the moment and yet there is a quiet beauty about the land. We saw 2 of the Big 5. Fantastic image! I love the sense of color and the interactions between light and shadow. Great stuff...very well seen and presented. I'm in love with the way the trees frame the whole thing and the softer, misty tones in the background. Great.
