Description
When Callen took up the sword to be a Knight, he knew it would be a challenge...he just never dreamed it would be so much of one!
Running through the pre-dawn light of the woods with his appointed 'personal trainer' at his side.
The flea-bit stallion egging him on all the while as if to say: "C'mon!! The stuff I have to wear is MUCH heavier than that little bit of tin! Keep up! I'm barely cantering here!"
Oh, he couldn't WAIT for the next day of training....not!

Running in an armor cannot be easy. Given I have to force myself just to get some excercise, I really feel for Callen. What a great concept!

chuckles No, running in full armor isn't an easy task, but it was something every knight had to learn to do. Not only were you expected to be able to swing a sword or other weapon effectively and efficiently, but you had to move in the event that you had no mount. There are a good many full contact jousting troupes on the Renissance Faire circuit that prove that mobility, as well as protection were two of the main concerns of a fully armored knight. Both SWard80 and I have seen such troupes in action, and, while they may make it look easy, there's no doubt that it's anything but! Thanks for the wonderful comments! :-D

Knight this, Knight that! Nobody ever gives credit to the horse! Very cool idea and putting to visual form. After reading your story I look back at the horses face and imagine he's thinking "c'mon slowpoke".
