Description

My first Terragen picture. So what should I say. I like to create pictures with Pyramides or Ruins and so. I know I have to work on surface, terrain, clouds etc., but this is just the first one so please let me have your comments. Thank you

hmmm.. Did you set the "Detail" slider in the "Rendering Controls" window to the second highest setting? Since this is your first TG image: have you noticed that there are many interesting tutorials available - here, at renderosity in the tutorials section?, cheers and welcome, Frank

@frankB, Yes I noticed those Detail sliders. I found them after wondering why my pic is so pixelised and all the others dont. At Ruin at night I set them to a higher level, but made other mistakes. Yes I plan to go through those tutorials. Thanks for you warm welcome

Try to render more high, f.e. 1280960 pixel and then resize the image to 800600, so more details will be seen. Perhaps you should work more on the surface layer, more surface layers in different height, bumpiness and slope will help to get more detailed surfaces.
