Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us.  Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!Â

amazing how you've captured the dawn light as a diffuse glow, not all 'together' yet, but present enough to give light its first mysteries...The color of the tractor is deep & reflective, the grayed out feel of a bright red tractor muted by early morning sun; the details are just present enough to "hint" rather than speak; and you got a couple of little dabs of light on the wheels, so we can feel that day is on its way. A sleeping behemoth, still not fully awake, filled with quiet & mystery, and very friendly. It's a beautiful shot, and typical of you & your ever inward dialogue with light & form & shadow. Early morning at its quietest and most pregnant...

Hehe, you know I can't just walk past any tractor for that matter. The mood from the haziness is strengthened by the missing driver. Great to see the subdued colors and glow.

Great shot jodie; you must live in a kind of valley; where fog settles; I see a lot of it in your images (I'm jealous!) it gives your photo's MOOD .. a mood, I should add, I love. :)

This is so perfect! It's perfectly sparse. So perfectly pure and perfectly visualized that it breaks some common "rules" with no downside whatsoever: No full black anywhere No strong center-of-interest ...and it doesn't matter in the least. Hints seductively of abstract-geometric but remains strongly realistic and figurative. Cropping to die for! Lovely creamy color scheme soothes the hard edges! In short, I just love it no end...
