I was born in the flat lands of Kansas in a family of nine. My love of images started when I was 11 in the mid60s and my mom brought home a box full of Life and Look mags. Being the middle child, withdrawn and depressed. I took these images, cut them up made collages to express myself. My Art form begain and so too my love of Photography. I still make Collages from found objects. But once I got my computer I turned to 3D Art. Then replace my old SLR with a digital and here I am. I now live on a small Island in the Puget Sounds. With my husband and two cats and a menagerie of wild life.

I can see it now...lawn chair, bait bucket, ice chest, cane pole with bobber on the left, rod and reel in my lap, tackle box at my feet, dog stretched out sunning her belly behind my chair and a stringer tied to the end of the dock that is heavy with the evening's dinner... :-) Stellar shot.

Love the contrast! The dark green shadows are just gorgeous. What a beautiful place! I was in the Okanogan several years ago and saw Okanogan Falls. I kid you not. I saw signs that said "Okanogan Falls ---->" and just had to check it out. Drove past it about four times before I realized the four-foot drop over a concrete wall was the attraction!

you never know why this or that image captures your eye, but sometimes you do. this one reminds of my childhood spend in the forest. there was a lake where I nearly got drowwned by fallind down from a similar dock.... most nostalgic and so well captured! thank you for bringing me down more than half a century back. nikolay
