Description

Designed in Ultrafractal 4.04 ...So why not PAINT a fractal? I called this one "Perestroika" because of the sickle-like shape overlaid over the "road" winding off into a bright future. Sadly, the wonderful promise of that day when the Berlin Wall came down seems to have been muted some of late. I'd so hoped that the old animosities of the cold war I grew up with wouldn't return but sabers are rattling and the politicians are back to flapping their gums again....Ah well, still time for fences to be mended and cooler heads to prevail. Yup, still hung up in my infatuation with the abstract "geofractal" style I've been doing a lot of. At least it's a heckuva lot easier on my rig than one of those weeks-in-the-making, 180 layer fiascoes that I've been known to do! I'm doing a series based on this squiggly vibe and might post a couple more pieces if they turn out decent. Hope y'all enjoy this one! Thanks for stopping by - try not to track paint on the carpet! lol ;-) Rick --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available in limited edition on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! Unique, "one-of-a-kind" (edition size = 1) prints and embellished prints are also available*** :-) ***This image is solely the copyright of Richard B. Love this work Rykk. Painting and texture adds a new dimension. I wiped my feet on that paper in the corner.

Wonderful and it appeals to me. I like the lines and the colors. Yes, those politicians have a way of keeping things stirred up.

I love the little twisted squiggle in the lower left! The texture on this is amazing, just the right amount of 'bleeding' of the colors. It looks like you painted in in watercolors and then misted it and let all the colors fuzz. :)

This is wonderful Rick, I agree with you about the cold war. The politicians are a pain in the posterior! Don't we people love our countries, no matter what country we live in? By that of course I mean the everyday person, not the few who want to rule the masses. Oh, and congrats on The Fractal Weekly Window!
