Description

Just a tiny bid of the Messum Crater in the Namib Desert - Namibia. The origin of the Messum crater is not determined yet - the common believe is that it is an impact crater. This phenomenon can be seen on Google Earth at Lat -21.4135 (south) Lon 14.2168 (west. The nearest civilization is Hentiesbay - approximately 100km away.

Stunning, well balanced composition and the coloring is perfect. One of my favourite spots on the planet - the Namib Desert. Great image! :)

funny, I thought about impact crater as well when I saw this. :-) My only suggestion to make this totally perfect would be to level the horizon just a bit. It has such a strong composition and excellent clarity that just that one little change would give it that final touch.
