There was a rubber grommet around the bumper brackets where they go through the fenders. Why do I care? When I walked to elementary school I had a choice to pass by the Ford dealer or a Mobil station that had a big Ford F-8 tractor and trailer that came from time to time. So I had no real choice in whether I would see Fords. Then I came to an intersection and if I went one way I would pass the Kaiser/Frazer, Henry J dealership that became a egg warehouse and then pass a Presbyterian church, a Methodist church and a Lutheran church or I could go the other way and pass the Pontiac, Buick GMC and then Chevrolet dealers and turn to pass by the Oldsmobile dealer.
