When Suki arrived at Hillville's Gorf Portrait Studio, she was surprised that they did portraiture with sheet film. They told her that they were leery of modern contrivances such as roll film, thinking it couldn't possibly be adequate. She held her tongue and didn't mention that most other pro studios are shooting digital nowadays. I apologize for interrupting an ongoing comic but I was struck by inspiration! I was struck by the idea to simulate the unique qualities of flexible body cameras, view cameras in particular: the ability to have wacky depth of field effects by tilting the film plane. Here we see depth of field not only front to back but also top to bottom. I hope I used this in a meaningful way that actually adds to the picture... Although I admit the "contact print" border effect is gimmicky! The effect was created in Photoshop using the Lens Blur filter. It does a pretty good job except for an annoying sharp line around the edge of things where the depth suddenly changes. Gotta work on that...
