I saw the same thing today on one of my plants and found it truly amazing to watch the lines of ants harvesting for the winter. Excellent.

Excellent macro, I have not managed to get any ants proper yet, although we have tens of thousands in our garden maybe 100's of thousands they are too fast for my extreme macro lens, when I use that they either have to be very slow like the tiny aphid or dead. The reason I said it was crap was because the definition was lost when zoomed full size. Thanks for your comment by the way. I like this one for a couple of reasons, I have never seen ants feeding on aphids before and it is a very good macro as well. Like Andrea said our ants do not have heads as big as these. Very interesting image. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!5+++++
