Description
Was out and about for a few hours early this am with the camera, collecting some shots for the forum challenge and when I got home look what was waiting for me and my camera on the bench out on the front deck. (could'a just stayed home!)
I have to say the bug laid itself out rather gracefully before it expired....

Looks almost ceremonial. I've seen photos of natives put to rest in hollowed canoes and sent down river with their arms folded in a similar fashion. Strange humanity in this one. Moving.

I couldn't help but feel sorry for this little one... The lighting adds a lot to that dramatic situation (think about dozens of crying baby bugs gathered around their departed grandma...) Excellent shot!
