Great image here. Makes me think of all the hard labor done hundreds of years ago...collect the rocks, transport the rocks, mix the mortar, build the wall. Imagine the time expended. What could the monks of the Abbey have paid these workers? Bill

Intriguing image David, excellent capture, but what caused the hole? Was it a canon ball? a rock fired from a ballista? a window maybe that had been removed and just left an hole that in later years collapsed. Where is the debris that must have been there? Just one hole, but all sorrts of questions. #;0) Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
