Description

My first attempt at creating an interior scene.I created a complete room...four walls,a roof and floor, with windows on three walls. This allowed light to only enter through the windows as in reality. The walls are a rounded hollow shape from Spacebones and some Bryce prims. The wall texture is from cgtextures.com.The windows have panes of glass in them, for realistic reflections and distortion of the exterior scene. The ferns and bamboo,Michael3 and Vic3 are from Daz3D,the mat for Michael is Vincent from RDNA.com. The hardest part was the bedding...two terrains created in the terrain editor. One is for the mattress, the other is the comforter(which was tricky to place properly). The comforter texture and waterfall image are also from cgtextures.com,the LED clockface was created in Photoshop.Free Skytraffic from Stonemason. Thanks for viewing and comments!

That is wild, using the terrain editor for the bedding! Love the lighting in this one.

The lighting really sets the stage for this one, Neil. Your detailed narrative of how you have achieved the end result is fascinating. All of the extra steps taken for the placement of each item and mat. Very well done.

A really sensitive scene with great lighting. Nice to see you hinting at the far distance future through the window.

The things you do in Bryce, amazing... Excellent scene, very well balanced. Wonderful lighting. The guy's pose is just right. The details provide that extra level of realism. Excellent work!

Fabulous modeling and texture work. The light, shadows and atmosphere add so much realism, sweet render for sure. I'm not a Bryce dude, but it was still interesting to read how you did it, nice work!

Not bad at all! I like your work on the comforter, although at first I thought she had covered up with a rock. Maybe a material or texture that was more fabric looking. But the rest of the scene is very well done. Nice work!

Excellent interior scene, Neil. I really like the way you have used the natural lighting. However, I must agree with Seaview123 - the comforter texture looks very rock-like...

Thanks for all the comments..the comforter texture is a camo print, was going for a non-shiny mat look, which does leave it looking like a rock but I didn't want anything to distract from the focus on the sunlit man...tricky to make these items look right in Bryce sometimes!

Very cool. I like the posing and the lighting, this story is laden with subtext and implied story. Great work!

Really nice work! Interiors are a pig to get right in bryce. The comforter looks too hard, not soft enough to be a blanket, but fair play for giving it a go!! Still a great scene though, good lighting and i really like the cabinet with the "tv" screen!!

Impressive interior work! Very well composed and excellent details. I like the way you've done the bedclothes that must have been very difficult.
