Description

There's something wrong with this scene - no Carrara dynamic hair! LOL! The focus here is on the light, with not a little inspiration from some Old Master paintings, and in particular I wanted to use Subsurface Scattering on the hand in front of the candle so that you could see the glow through the skin. Huge thanks for looking and all the recent feedback - I really appreciate it!

Wow! This is extraordinary! I love the almost translucent effect of the light on her hand as she shields the flame. Beautiful scene, well worth the close up look. Great work!

Great lighting, very effective. The sub surface scattering works well on the fingers although I don't think the candle light would penetrate the palm. I've checked with my hand against a lightbulb. Unless that's just my ageing skin of course... Apart from that it's as near perfect lighting as I've seen. Great work!
