Such a shimmer
in the light
So soft and warm
from the bitter wind
It fits and drapes
like no other
fabric
There is a problem.
It bleeds.
It's last owner
lived in it too; breathed,
groomed and loved
it's only coat
and died
for you to wear
with such casual air
your second hand coat.
It Stinks of blood.
Do you still want it?

Wow, your poem gives me the heebie-jeebies. I love it! Looking at the image after having read the poem makes me want to take a shower! Well done creating the mood of ambivalent disgust. I've often felt the same way about things that I've bought second-hand, wondering what kind of history they had. Dave
