Description

Ontar and Rap are headed north and are about two days from Ontar’s house. Ontar was telling Rap how the lake was filled at the north end by the river Bluin and leaves by the river Blout at the Zahn Kingdom. As Ontar looked out over the lake,,,, Ontar: Get down quick!!!! Rap: Why? What’s wrong? Ontar: it’s a … never mind you wouldn’t recognize it. Just get down, we do not want anyone on that boat to see us. Rap: Why? Ontar: There would be way to many questions to answer and you probably would not like the result of this encounter. Let us say it is better for us to hide than talk to them. Rap: Are they bad men? Ontar: Might or might not be. But, either way, I rather not talk to them. Ontar and Rap laid there in the sun for a while and Ontar noticed after a bit that Rap had fell asleep. “Innocence for you,” Ontar thought smiling and thinking on, “Now just what is going on? What is a nuclear sub doing here?! First Seaton comes running around asking if anyone had seen the Warlord’s dreadnought and something about the Otayans, who have been gone for several years. Hmm? I still haven’t gone there to see what was going on, that will have to wait a bit. Then an Eye is running loose and only Seaton, to common knowledge has ever defeated one. Seaton’s not at home and no one knows where he is. Then Rap appears out of nowhere near Seaton’s home. And now an atomic submarine in Lake Hallster! What else can happen? I really don’t want to know that answer. But, I’ll probably find out anyway.” Raising slowly up Ontar scanned the horizon and not seeing the sub, woke Rap up and they headed on.
