I was born in the flat lands of Kansas in a family of nine. My love of images started when I was 11 in the mid60s and my mom brought home a box full of Life and Look mags. Being the middle child, withdrawn and depressed. I took these images, cut them up made collages to express myself. My Art form begain and so too my love of Photography. I still make Collages from found objects. But once I got my computer I turned to 3D Art. Then replace my old SLR with a digital and here I am. I now live on a small Island in the Puget Sounds. With my husband and two cats and a menagerie of wild life.

We eat a lot of salmon too, Bonita. It is wonderful round here. A wonderful shot, the water looks so still. Hugs. Di. xx

I almost live on salmon but with salmon disappearing around here, the price has gone up and the availibility has plummetted. I now eat more talapia and trout. This looks like great fun and its a fine capture as well.

Excellent shot of one of my favorite passtimes (at least I think about doing it a lot). It does look wet, wet but that's the payment for green, green :-) Bill

Superb capture of these fishermen on the look-out for a dying (slowly but surely, alas) species.

What a beautiful capture! The different colors of the reeds and other growth are lovely, as is the texture of the wet sand. Great work!

Excellent shot. I was stationed in Alaska at King Salmon AFS, a radar site. We fished for Kings, Pinks and a lot of other fish. It was paradise for the fisherman, I caught a 10lb Lake Trout and thought I had a record until the game warden informed me that the state record, at the time, was 31lbs. While fishing off the dock of the small trading post / bar one day during the King run, I caught 2 and it took me about 4 hours. One was 44lbs and the other was 57lbs. We ate salmon at the site for several weeks, baked, smoked and grilled. Damn that was fun...... Thanks for reminding me.
