Description

This looks like a pile of rocks, but it is in fact a prehistorical burial site. The pile of rocks is a tunnel in which dead bodies were burried. This happened more than 3000 years ago. This is long before the Romans conquered large parts of the antique world. This hunebed (the Dutch name) is located in Balloo in the North of the province of Drenthe.

Dang, sometimes I'm good. :-) In the thumb it looked like a rock pile but when I opened it I felt it was not a random pile of rock and perhaps it was much like our Mound Builders who built dirt burial mounds of great proportions...and maybe that was it but it was close. Great shot of this burial tunnel.
