Description

This is the process used in making my salsa. Chopping, slicing, crying over the onions, forgetting what I was doing and wiping my eyes, then holding my eyes under water to ease the sting!! But it's all worth it~~~~this is some, HOT, SPICY, Triple X salsa!!!!

a scrumptious image! (There should be a rule against posting images that make someone hungry at 3:30 in the morning!) Lots of great colors & textures, and we can see you taking the picture! Great added touch! Lots of fun, and a rough image for someone on a fast! Red never looked so tasty!

I used to work in a pickle factory when I was sixteen, one of my duties for a time was peeling onions, preping them for the ladies soaking them in brine for a few days before bottling them up. I used a industrial peeler, but for the first five minutes of every day I cried. Once I had got used to the fumes the crying stopped. This looks delicious Marilyn, but how many times did you have to wipe your hands to take the photo's? lol. I know what you mean about handling hot chilli peppers and forgetting what you are doing, especially when wanting the bathroom afterwards(scream) roflmao. Even washing your hands before doesn't always work, another scream. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

First time, as a young lady, that I made stuffed jalapinos, I did not know about protection...! I sliced and cleaned 2 dozen fresh jalapenos, held them to stuff the shrimp, crab and cream cheese inside and then cried for 2 days! The skin on my hands was on fire and nothing...I repeat...nothing would make the burning stop. Since, I have always put on some sort of foodhandling gloves when I work with hot peppers! Love this collage! It makes me want to go out and make something hot!

This is a fantastic collage, and it reminds me in quite a few pleasant ways of the kinds of cover art that appear on the novels of Joanne Harris. Ah, the books you discover while traveling. She wrote a food trilogy, and I just finished reading Five Quarters of the Orange and so I have food images on my mind. Nah, she didn't write anything about salsa making or hot pepper shenanigans, but if she did, her publisher would do well to use your photograph (and pay you a hefty sum!) Okay, enough of that. All of that was to say, I like the vibe of the collage that you've done, and in my humble opinion, I think you've hit upon another of the talents that you possess in fantastic supply. I'd love to see more collage work from you, especially since you have this skill at both visual and thematic arrangement. Ah, yes...and the color. Brilliant and well balanced as always.

Terrific variety of salsa ingredients and preparation procedures on display in this unique collage, Marilyn! Never done it myself but I understand that you can eliminate the sting of cutting onions by first placing them under water and then slicing and dicing. Anyway, I can't eat any hot and spicy stuff because it's murder on my prostate.
