Description

Browsing old saved discs, found this and it was taken back in 2005 with my first digital camera 3.2 megapixel Fuji S3000. It took some great pics.(oh! and some, not so great lol) Malham in the Yorkshire Dales is a pretty little village, mentioned in the Doomsday Book as Malgun. The area is dominated by a huge limestone rock-face 260 ft. high known as Malham Cove. I'll upload the view of the Cove tomorrow. Alan

Like this image a lot. Looking forward to more. Easy to see where the stone came from for the bridge, etc. I've at long last retired my first digital...a Sony with a rip-roaring 1.3 megapixel capability. We thought that was OK in about 2002 or so. Bill

Nice one Alan, I could just go a walls icecream whilst sitting on that big rock watching the stream go under the bridge. It's a while since I have been up in the Dales, I used to love driving up there along those narrow twisting winding roads. Up past Malhm and Malham Tarn, through Kettlewell up to New Biggin and Leyburn a walk round Castle Bolton. It's up near Layburn a place called Middleham, I want to go up for some pics, it's a folly called cunning corner or something like that, you have to solve puzzles whilst walking through the gardens there. I took Emma about 9/10 years ago, and would love to go again sometime. One for next year maybe. Excellent capture here mate, there are some fantastic picturesque villages in the Dales, we will have to have a good forecast and a full tank for a trip sometime. Superb work mate. Bravo!!!!! Looking forward to Saturday and getting some pics from up in Whitby.

This is the place I really wanted to go on a Geography field study trip when I was in the Sixth form, but I was too shy or something. Perhaps I'll do it soon in retirement!

Wonderful tranquil atmosphere Alan. I think you are wrong about that camera taking some good pictures. If the picture is good, or bad, it is you. You are taking the picture and you capture what your eye sees. This is a beautiful shot, makes me want to be there!
