Will get a photo of myself as soon as i find one I like.
Hi I'm Nick
I came from a science background and now work in the software industry (as so many do).
I became interested in photography via a friend (Fred255) and from buying a dslr for doing astronomy stuff (another interest). I soon discovered the joy of using the camera for its intended purpose. I then started to leak cash.
Still very much a beginner, but learning with every shot (especially the failed ones :-)).
Equipment list:
Canon EOS 5D MKII (my pride and joy)
Panasonic LX3
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4.0L ISÂ USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4
Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L ISÂ USM (my other pride and joy)
Sigma 2x EX DG Teleconverter
Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG Macro
Kenko extension tube set (12, 20 & 36mm)
Manfrotto 055XB Classic with 484RC2.
...and other bits and bobs.

WOW. This is an evocative image that works on so many different levels. The technical expertise is evident, but there's so much more concerning mood and implications that I love. Fantastic work!

Oh, very nice. Think I saw you taking a picture here in one of David's shots. He's a good agent for you :-) Speaking of which, he recommended you as a source of knowledge concerning photographing the moon. I just gave it a try here in the last three days. Would appreciate you taking a look. Am wide open to ways to improve (tried all kinds of manual settings until the clouds shut me down). Love this abbey shot! Bill
