The perspective,POV and subject are truly excellent. That this is moment that includes your son deeply enchances your post. No matter where we live when one views a photo like yours it is hard not to feel a deep sense of love and patriotism. Even harder not to feel the tugs at our heartstrings for those of us whose children are serving. My son lived in Germany for three years serving in the Army. He adored your country and your people. He had said he felt a sense of belonging there. He took to the language like a duck takes to water. I think too that is because he is of German decent. He is now serving his third tour in Irag so I can relate to your photo in a very real way.

You are in a completely different genre of art than I am, so much of what you do is difficult for me to relate to. However, having served in the Israeli Army, this is something that I can relate to. Army service can be both good and bad, the camaraderie can be wonderful, but War is always hell. This is a very good photo, and with the Grace of G-d, hopefully your son will never have to put into practice what he has been taught here. DPH

A solemn moment for soldiers and family, my friend. Our 'taking the oath' ceremony, for the police force, 30 years ago, was not so neat or formal... ;o) Warm regards, John.

Simply outstanding work!!! Not only does it show your pride in your son it also offers us a glimpse of the personal nature the Oath is between the soldier and his country. "Hoorah!!!!!"
