Description

This one is for arcas! The Eagle from Space:1999 is one of the best examples of practical but good-looking SF design ever. Although I was never very happy when they took Eagles into dense atmospheres, the venerable workhorse of Moonbase Alpha has always been one of my favorite SF vehicles. I was making a new screen wallpaper, and decided to post it. The model is the basic untweaked Eagle that comes with Lightwave 8.0. Rendered in Lightwave, with various graphic blandishments in Photoshop -Thanks for having a look! Tom

Ah man they are my all time favorite ships as well and you sir have done them Justice!!!! Awesome point of view of these babys and setting!! Man I use to have the diecast toy with the spring landing gear and detachable storage section! Plus the what two foot long craft with the detachable cockpit and engine you could put together to make a mini craft so you know this is going in my favs!!!!

Interesting. I guess I'm spoiled by that guy's Eagle model who does those posters. He's done just about every nut and bolt. But these models would work well at a distance. The command module detail looks a little mushy. But this piece makes a dramatic initial impact. Sure wish I had a good Eagle model to play with...

not bad, not bad at all - i like it :) only C&C i got is the surface of the spaceship/station looks a bit more platic rather than metal-ish.. on purpose? otherwise add a wee-bit more reflection, not too much so it looks shiny new, just a tad-bit.. just my 2 cents though :) again, good work! :) //Benny.
