Description

Every morning as I open the back door to the kitchen I am greeted by all these little guys lined up all along the fence, waiting...they know I will be sitting food out and they sit patiently waiting for me to do so...sometimes the chickadees and nuthatch are there as well. This particular day I went out to the garden first which is kitty corner across the yard and they all followed me out to the fence out there, and then back again to the kitchen porch. They sit very quietly until I get the food out and then the minute that I start to put it in the tray for them, they break out into their morning song. I love that they are so accommodating:-) I wasn't able to catch all eleven birds that were lined up here because the squirrels running in the trees scare them but you get the idea. And usually there are up to thirty birds on the fence. I cropped a lot of this image out and boosted the color because they blend in to the background so much you can barely see them.
